Swampy pool turning clear
Emergency Service Available

Green Pool Recovery Adelaide.

From swamp to oasis in under a week. We kill the algae, balance the water, and bring your pool back from the dead.

Why did it go green?

A green pool is an active algae bloom. It happens fast when the delicate chemical balance drops off.

No Sanitizer

Low chlorine levels (often due to a broken chlorinator or massive rain event) give algae the exact environment it needs to multiply.

High Phosphates

Phosphates are algae food. They blow in with dust and leaves. If phosphate levels are high, algae will bloom even with chlorine in the water.

Dead Filtration

A broken pump, a blocked skimmer, or a clogged filter means stagnant water. Stagnant water turns green quickly.

Don't Drain It. We Can Save It.

Draining a pool can structurally damage the shell due to hydrostatic pressure. Our chemical recovery process is safer, faster, and cheaper.

Green Pool Before
Day 1: The Swamp
Clean Pool After
Day 5: Crystal Clear

Our 5-Step Process.

01

Assessment & Debris Removal

We test the exact severity of the bloom, balance pH, and physically scoop out heavy leaf matter and debris from the floor.

02

Shock Dose

We hit the water with a massive, targeted dose of liquid chlorine to instantly kill active algae spores.

03

Algaecide & Flocculant

Specialist algaecides strip the protective barrier off the algae, while flocculants bind the dead particles together so they sink to the floor.

04

Vacuum to Waste

We manually vacuum the heavy layer of dead algae straight out of the pool (bypassing your filter so it doesn't get clogged).

05

Final Balance & Filter Clean

We do a final chemical balance, clear out phosphates, and deeply backwash/clean your filtration system.

Most pools are crystal clear and swim-ready within 3–5 days.

Recovery FAQ.

Is it safe to swim in a green pool?

No. A green pool is a breeding ground for bacteria, mosquitoes, and pathogens. You should keep pets and children away from the water until it is fully treated and balanced.

How much does a green pool recovery cost?

Prices vary depending on the size of the pool and the severity of the algae bloom (light green vs dark swamp). A recovery typically involves multiple visits and heavy chemical usage. We provide a firm quote before starting any work.

Can I just shock it myself?

You can try, but hardware store chemicals often lack the strength needed, and if your pH and alkalinity aren't perfectly balanced first, the chlorine won't work. We save you the frustration of wasting hundreds of dollars on chemicals that don't clear the water.

Do you have to drain the pool?

Usually, no. 95% of green pools can be chemically recovered. We only recommend a drain and acid wash in extreme cases where the water is completely saturated with un-filterable dissolved solids.
